Emergency Broadcast

The Emergency Broadcast feature instantly overrides all content across your displays with a critical message. Use it for safety alerts, evacuations, severe weather, or any urgent communication.

Activating an Emergency Broadcast

Navigate to Endpoints or the Dashboard
Click Emergency Broadcast (prominent red button)
Enter the emergency message
Select the target: All Endpoints or a specific device group
Click Broadcast Now

The message appears on all targeted displays within seconds, overriding any currently playing content.

Emergency broadcasts interrupt all content immediately. Use this feature only for genuine emergencies. For less urgent announcements, use triggers or scheduled scenes instead.

Pre-Defined Templates

Create emergency templates in advance for common scenarios:

Template	Example Message
Fire Evacuation	”FIRE ALARM — Please evacuate the building immediately via the nearest exit”
Severe Weather	”SEVERE WEATHER WARNING — Seek shelter immediately”
Security Alert	”SECURITY ALERT — Follow lockdown procedures”
IT Outage	”System maintenance in progress — Services will resume shortly”

Templates can include:

Custom background colour (red, amber, blue)
Text formatting and size
Icons or warning symbols
Scrolling ticker text

Cancelling a Broadcast

Click Emergency Broadcast again
Click Cancel Broadcast
All displays return to their normal content

Broadcast Audit Log

All emergency broadcasts are logged with:

Who activated it
When it was activated
The message content
Target devices/groups
When it was cancelled
Duration

This log is available in Reports > Emergency Broadcasts for compliance and review.

Permissions

Only users with the Operator role (or above) can activate emergency broadcasts.
