Device Groups
Device groups let you organise endpoints into logical collections for bulk management, content targeting, and administrative convenience.
Creating a Group
- Navigate to Endpoints
- Click Groups in the toolbar
- Click New Group
- Name the group (e.g. “Lobby Screens”, “Retail — North Region”, “Meeting Rooms Floor 3”)
- Add endpoints to the group by selecting them
Group Operations
Once endpoints are grouped, you can perform bulk operations:
| Operation | Description |
|---|---|
| Assign Content | Push a scene to all endpoints in the group |
| Set Schedule | Apply schedule rules to all endpoints |
| Power Schedule | Set on/off times for all devices |
| Emergency Broadcast | Send an emergency message to the group |
| Update Settings | Change resolution, orientation, or other settings |
Nested Groups
Groups can be nested for hierarchical organisation:

Meeting RoomsOperations on a parent group cascade to all child groups.
Content Targeting
Groups enable content targeting — different content for different locations:
- Create groups by location, department, or purpose
- Assign different scenes to each group
- Manage content centrally while maintaining per-group customisation
Dynamic Groups
Dynamic groups automatically include endpoints matching criteria:
| Criteria | Example |
|---|---|
| Name pattern | Endpoints matching lobby-* |
| Tag | Endpoints tagged retail |
| Location | Endpoints in a geographic area |
| Device type | Endpoints using Samsung Tizen devices |
Dynamic group membership updates automatically as endpoints are added, removed, or changed.
