Device Pairing
Pairing connects a physical display device to a logical endpoint in Inspire. The process uses a secure 6-character code that requires no special network configuration.
Pairing Process
Prepare the device
Ensure the device has:
- A supported browser (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox)
- Network access to your Inspire server
- A display connected and powered on
Open the pairing URL
On the device, navigate to:
https://inspire.yourcompany.com/pairA 6-character alphanumeric code appears on screen (e.g. A3F 7K2).
Enter the code in Inspire
In the Inspire web UI:
- Navigate to Endpoints
- Click on the target endpoint
- Click Pair Device
- Enter the 6-character code
- Click Confirm
Verify
The device screen refreshes and begins rendering the endpoint’s assigned content. The endpoint status changes to “Online”.
Pairing codes expire after 15 minutes for security. Refresh the pairing page on the device to generate a new code.
Unpairing a Device
To disconnect a device from an endpoint:
- Navigate to the endpoint
- Click the device in the Paired Devices section
- Click Unpair
- The device returns to the pairing screen
Re-Pairing
A device can be re-paired to a different endpoint at any time. Simply unpair it from the current endpoint and pair it to the new one.
